The bottling station

In 1957, Malamatina retsina was bottled for the first time in the historic and emblematic “bubble” bottle, thus making it possible for it to be transported intact throughout Greece.

In order to meet its growing demand, the Malamatina bottling plant was moved to Kalochori in Thessaloniki, where it is still located today.

In 1994, its mechanical equipment was modernised and its production line was fully automated. Today it is fully equipped and is constantly modernised to ensure the excellent quality of the production process and products.

Today, the Malamatina bottling plant can produce 50 million bottles per year, which is more than 25,000 bottles per hour!
